This week I recorded my voice over script and started work on a few of the production boards. It turns out that my storyboards helped out immensely in planning my production boards. I don’t think I’ve ever pumped out illustrations so fast and still consistently likely them. I must be improving before my very eyes, because I’ve never been able to work this fast and maintain my quality and standards. I’m posting a few examples of my production boards.
I wrote a voice over script this week. This took hours of research and thought into what I wanted to communicate as the story to modern urban farming in the United States. The story follows the rise of victory farms, changes in population, pollution by large corporations, and the growing need for local sustainable food systems.
This week was focused on creating moodboards and style frames. The over feel for my motion graphic is bright earthy colors with subtle textures. I plan to use iconography and lots of illustrations to communicate the points.
First motion graphics class involving my thesis project. This is a summer course, so it will move twice as fast. I already know Tim Rice, the instructor, but all the other students are new. I have been asked to create a timeline and an outline for the coming semester. We will be held to this timeline and assessed based on our reported progress along out timeline.
